Prescott Alternative Transportation (PAT) is working toward a bicycle and pedestrian friendly central Yavapai community. As a nonprofit, non-governmental organization we do this through our ongoing programs as well as responding to opportunities. Our strength comes from our members and supporters who join us in promoting better streets and trails.
We advocate for the rights of vulnerable travelers through transportation agencies in the Prescott area. From our two decades of experience, we offer alternatives to massive, high-speed roads, presenting inviting bicycle and pedestrian accommodations instead. By attending meetings and reviewing plans for future transportation projects, we stay involved with the process and look for opportunites.
Most road and trail projects begin many years before any changes are made on the ground. You can help us leverage these efforts for more impact either by volunteering or through your donations that help us continue our work.
We believe that bicycling and walking are healthy alternatives for individuals as well as our entire community. We speak for the more than thirty percent of area residents who do not or cannot drive. In this effort we are also joined by many who choose to bike and walk for fun, health, and the environment.
